Design notes

2025 is the year of the snake — a symbol of rebirth, shedding old skin. For this year's red envelopes, I wanted to illustrate this very idea of moving into a new chapter, a new page, a new year — and flourishing. To have the courage and faith to start anew. To a brilliant 2025 in bloom.

My envelopes have the character 福 ("fu") on them, which means good luck! I wanted to design these to both be functional as red envelopes, and also lovely art prints worthy of being displayed in your home.

Designing red envelopes will be my annual tradition until the full 12-year zodiac is completed!
